Sofia Kourtesis

Sofia Kourtesis is a Peruvian-born, Berlin-based producer, DJ, and vocalist who makes some of the most emotional dance music around, weaving Latin American rhythms and field recordings into warm, melodic house. Born in Magdalena, Lima, she left Peru as a teenager and built her name in Berlin's club world across a run of acclaimed EPs, including 2021's Fresia Magdalena. Her 2023 debut album Madres, released on Ninja Tune and dedicated to her mother, earned widespread critical acclaim and cemented her as one of electronic music's most distinctive voices. She returns now with a new DJ-Kicks compilation and an album on the way.
